A video showing policemen counting money inside a police vehicle in Asaba, Delta State, has gone viral, sparking public outrage and calls for accountability.

In response to the incident, the Delta State Police spokesperson, Edafe Bright, issued a terse statement on Tuesday confirming that the officers involved had been identified and arrested.
“The policemen in the embarrassing video have been identified and arrested. They appeared before the CP today,” said Edafe.
Further details revealed that four personnel are involved – two senior officers and two inspectors.
“The four personnel, two of them who are senior officers have been queried while the two inspectors have been detained and awaiting an orderly room trial,” the spokesman added.
This swift action emphasises the Delta Police Command’s commitment to maintaining discipline and curbing any form of misconduct within its ranks.
