Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has issued a warning to Gulf states and Muslim nations, threatening to disrupt oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz if they fail to restrain U.S. actions under President Trump.

The Strait, a vital chokepoint for 20% of global oil shipments, could see interruptions amid escalating regional tensions, with current crude prices already topping $100 per barrel due to ongoing conflicts.

In verified footage from state TV, Brigadier General Mohammad Taghi Osanlou, commander of the IRGC’s Hamzeh Seyyed al-Shohada Base, addressed the camera in Persian with Arabic and English subtitles.

He urged Muslim governments to “warn the criminal United States and the savage Zionist regime against such cowardly anti-human actions, so that the flames of war do not spread.”

Osanlou didn’t mince words on the consequences, “Otherwise, similar actions will occur in the region. And if you can tolerate oil prices above $200 per barrel, continue this game.”

IRGC spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari echoed the threat, explicitly linking it to potential retaliation for strikes on Iranian energy sites.

This rhetoric builds on Iran’s recent vows to target Gulf oil infrastructure.
