Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina delivered a savage post-match mic drop after his side’s stunning 3-0 Europa League playoff demolition of Fenerbahce, flipping the hosts’ infamous “welcome to hell” rallying cry on its head.
The Nigerian international, who shone brightly in defense during the upset victory, went viral with his cheeky quip captured on video as he hyped up his teammates.
“Came to Istanbul, they told us ‘welcome to hell.’ I said f*ck that, after the 3-0, it was feeling like heaven though,” Aina proclaimed, grinning ear-to-ear amid the celebrations.
Fenerbahce had leaned hard into their intimidating home atmosphere at the Ülker Stadium, but Forest – under a new coach – silenced the crowd with a clinical performance.
Aina’s rock-solid defending anchored the backline, helping propel the Tricky Trees to a strong European start and marking one of their most emphatic continental wins in years.
