Arriving late at the Zulu Terminal of the General Aviation Terminal (GAT), Oshiomhole blocked the terminal entrance entirely, refusing to move despite repeated pleas from airport staff and the terminal manager.
His actions caused a gridlock, stranding dozens of passengers and delaying flights.
Air Peace declined to delay the flight for the senator due to strict check-in policies, confirming he missed the flight.
The situation escalated to the point where a management meeting was urgently convened to persuade Oshiomhole to allow normal operations to resume.
Witnesses described the incident as chaotic and humiliating for airport personnel, who were seen pleading with the senator to de-escalate the situation.
Air Peace condemned the senator’s conduct as disruptive and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy for such behaviour.
