Iranian Army spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari has claimed that Iranian strikes have killed or wounded more than 500 United States troops in regional hideouts, portraying the war as a looming quagmire for US forces under President Trump.

Though statement contrasts with US military reports, which have acknowledged only 13 deaths and around 200 wounded since hostilities erupted in late February 2026.

Zolfaghari framed the strikes as divinely ordained successes, saying, “We had previously warned that the powerful assault by the armed forces led to two of their hideouts being detected: in the second hideout in Dubai, the brave men of the Aerospace Islamic Revolutionary Guard struck the American commanders who will become a graveyard for American soldiers by the divine will of the heroic people and the Almighty, the Wise.”

The comments come as Iranian forces claim precision hits on US positions in the Gulf region, including Dubai, while the Pentagon maintains its forces have repelled attacks with minimal losses.
