Video: Oworonshoki residents protest over demolitions, Sowore accuses Lagos govt of oppression

The people of Oworonshoki are protesting the demolition of their ancestral homes by the Lagos State government’s demolition squad on Monday.

This was made known in a post shared by activist Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore wrote on X, “The people of Oworonshoki, whose ancestral homes are being destroyed by @jidesanwoolu’s demolition squad, are rising against their oppressors on the Lagos Mainland.”
He further accused the government of targeting poor residents, stating, “The Lagos State government has never been interested in building homes for the poor, only in demolishing their homes so the rich can steal more land. #RevolutionNow.”
