Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola praised new signing goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, highlighting his physical presence and unique qualities.
On Donnarumma’s potential debut against Manchester United, Guardiola said, “Donnarumma to start vs Man United? We will see.”
Reflecting on the transfer, Guardiola explained, “The market gave us a chance to take Gigio; he’s 26, incredible experience with big clubs, the national team.”
He underscored that Donnarumma was brought in not to replicate Ederson, but to bring “other qualities,” adding, “He’s so tall, he’s so huge.”
The club secured the former PSG goalkeeper on deadline day, August 31, aiming to bolster their squad with his extensive top-level experience.
