Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has delivered a speech at a pro-Palestine rally, accusing global leaders of cowardice and abandoning children trapped in Gaza’s rubble amid the ongoing conflict.

Guardiola painted a heartbreaking picture of a boy filming himself on social media, crying out for his mother buried under debris.

“What do we think when I see a boy in the last two years in those images wondering where his mother is, and he still doesn’t know she’s stuck under the rubble?

“I always think what they must be thinking. And I think we have left them alone, abandoned,” he said.

He didn’t hold back on world powers, calling them “cowards” for staying safe at home.

“Until now, we haven’t done it yet—probably because the powerful are cowards. Because basically what they do is send innocent people to kill innocent people.

“That’s what cowards do. Because they are at home with heating when it’s cold and with air conditioning when it’s hot,” he added.

Guardiola urged the crowd to reject silence imposed by bombs and stand with the vulnerable.

“We have to take a step forward… Simply don’t look the other way and stand before the world to prove we are clearly on the side of the weaker party—and in this case, that is Palestine. This is a manifesto for Palestine and also for humanity,” he added.
