The Lagos State Police Command conducted a successful raid on a suspected criminal hideout located on Godwil Street, Idowu Egba, Isheri Igando Road.

The operation led to the arrest of several suspected armed robbers believed to be members of a syndicate specialising in vehicle snatching.
An officer at the scene urged residents to stay alert, stating, “They are not spirits and have no supernatural powers. If you notice someone in your neighbourhood without a clear means of livelihood or moving at odd hours, report them.”
He emphasised the importance of community vigilance, noting that some criminals disguise themselves behind legitimate businesses.
The officer also encouraged locals to act as the “first line of security” by cooperating with law enforcement and sharing timely information to help prevent crimes.
The Lagos police closed the message with a firm warning to criminal groups, stressing that “crime doesn’t pay” and urging them to cease illegal activities throughout the state.
