In early 2025, the Ogun State Government sealed off Portable’s uncompleted building and hotel in Sango-Ota due to alleged illegal construction without the required permits.

During the sealing operation, Portable lamented the arrest of over 20 people, including artists and customers, and the seizure of cars, bikes, and phones.

He argued that the property was used for booking events and supporting the community.

After months of the properties being inaccessible, Portable’s house and hotel have now been officially reopened, marking a significant relief for the singer and his business operations.

This reopening comes after controversies and tensions with the state government, with Portable publicly expressing his frustrations and appealing to authorities.
