Video: Putin discloses bridge project to North Korea

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced plans to build a bridge connecting Russia to North Korea across the Tumannik River.

Addressing the Eastern Economic Forum, Putin said Russia’s Far East ports were expanding rapidly: “This year, we are to further expand real access to sea ports. They are dynamically developing thanks to product investors.
He said, “Over the last decade, the port capacity in the region has been doubled, and currently, it amounts to almost 380 million tons of cargo per year.
“There are also plans to build new bridges, including one to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea across the Tumannik River, which should open next year.”
