In a courageous declaration on the state of cybersecurity, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu emphasised Nigeria’s commitment to safeguarding its digital space against exploitation by both local and international actors.

“We don’t talk much, but many things are happening behind the scenes,” Ribadu stated firmly.
“Even the big ones — those who take us for granted, whether you call them Binance or whatever name they go by — they don’t come here again. No more.”
Highlighting the government’s resolve, Ribadu added, “We’ll protect this place, and we’ll fight you if you’re a bad man. All those you see on the digital platform, whether you call them TikTok or others, we’ll be there for you. We’ll confront you.”
Ribadu’s remarks send a clear message that Nigeria will no longer tolerate digital platforms or entities that exploit its citizens or undermine its digital integrity.
“We’ll never allow you to take advantage of what you have, mess us up, and turn us into garbage. No!” he concluded passionately.
