Video: Sanwo-Olu honours 5,309 graduates from Lagos skills acquisition centers

On Thursday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu celebrated the graduation of 5,309 students from the 2024/2025 session of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation’s Skills Acquisition Centres throughout the state.

The graduates received training in a variety of skills, including aluminum fabrication, welding, carpentry, photography, barbering, catering, hairdressing, bead-making, vulcanizing, hat-making, gele styling, and makeup artistry, among others.
A statement shared through the X account of Sanwo-Olu’s spokesperson, Jubril Gawat, indicated that more than 34,000 individuals have successfully completed training at the state’s 19 skills acquisition centres since the beginning of his administration, gaining practical skills to make meaningful contributions to the economy.
The statement mentions, “Governor of Lagos State, Mr #jidesanwoolu today at the Year 2024 Graduates of the Skill Acquisition Centers in Lagos State.
“5,309 students from the 2024/2025 session of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation’s 19 Skills and Acquisition Centres across the State.
“Graduates have been successfully trained in Aluminum fabrication, welding, Carpentry, Photography, Barbing, catering, hairdressing and Bead-making, Vulcanizing and Hat, Hairdressing, Gele and Makeup artistry and many more.
“Under the administration of Mr Governor, Over 34,000 graduates have emerged from the skills acquisition centres across the State.
