The bridge was initially closed on April 1 for essential maintenance but was reopened ahead of schedule with palliative fixes to alleviate traffic congestion. Motorists had faced significant delays due to the closure, with traffic stretching from Lekki to Falomo Bridge.
However, Sanwo-Olu’s visit underscores the state’s efforts to manage traffic and ensure infrastructure stability amidst ongoing repairs.
In the video voice gag shared on Thursday, by his Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawat, Sanwo-Olu was seen inspecting the bridge and discussing with officials to ensure that the palliative measures are effective in reducing congestion
