The cargo flight, destined for Honolulu, struck nearby buildings and sparked a large fire.

The devastating accident resulted in seven fatalities, including three crew members aboard the aircraft and four people on the ground. Additionally, 11 others suffered injuries.

In response to the hazardous situation, authorities issued a shelter-in-place order within a five-mile radius, citing concerns over potentially dangerous materials released during the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have initiated thorough investigations. Louisville Airport remains closed, and UPS has temporarily halted its operations at its Worldport hub.
