Speaking at a formal meeting in with military leaders and ministry officials in Abuja on Friday, Musa promised immediate action and accountability.

Speaking emphatically, General Musa declared, “We do not have time. We are going to continue to hit the ground running. We must respect the human rights of Nigerians. Our loyalty is to Nigeria and the Nigerian people.

“The shedding of innocent blood is over. Our children should be able to go back to school. Farmers should be able to go back to their farms.”

Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, reinforced this message by assuring support and dedication, “I want to assure the minister that collectively we will go to support this cause and make Nigerians believe more in us—and believe going forward that Nigeria would be better.

“We stand ready to work diligently under your guidance, upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, discipline, and accountability.”

The meeting, marked by an atmosphere of renewed purpose, emphasised strengthening joint operations, prioritising troop welfare, and enhancing intelligence-driven, technology-enabled strategies.
