Vice President Kashim Shettima served as the Special Guest of Honour at the National and Sub-regional Hand-in-Hand (HiH) Investment Forum organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The event, which took place at the Ladi Kwali Hall in Abuja Continental Hotel, focused on “Enhancing Agriculture Value Chain Investment & Irrigation in West Africa and the Sahel.”
The HiH initiative aims to fast-track the transformation of agrifood systems by backing nationally led efforts to eliminate poverty, eradicate hunger and malnutrition, and address inequalities in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The forum convened national and sub-national governments, investors, and development partners to boost investment in irrigation and the transformation of food systems as part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
