Vice President Kashim Shettima has visited Kogi state to pay a condolence visit to Governor Usman Ododo over the demise of his father, Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.

The 83-year-old patriarch passed away on Monday.

This was revealed in a post shared on X by Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President).

Shettima was said to first received by Kogi State Deputy Governor, Joel Salifu, before proceeding to Okene, where he was welcomed by Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello, the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, as well as National Assembly and State Assembly members from the state.

The Vice President’s delegation included Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, Usman Ali Zanna (Gubio/Kaga/Magumeri), Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, and other officials.
