In a heartfelt statement, she vowed to be Steve’s “haven of serenity” and “steadfast supporter,” committing to stand by him as his partner, greatest admirer, and source of strength throughout their life together.

A video shared on TikTok by gospel singer Neon Adejo shows Ruth kneeling and expressing her deep love and lifelong dedication to their marriage through sincere promises.

While on her kneels, Ruth could be heard saying, “I will be your heaven of peace and source of unwavering support.

“I vow to reason with an open heart and to share my dreams. I promise to be your cheerleader, your partner, and your anchor.

“With you, I have discovered the true essence of love, and I vow to cherish it with all that I am. I vow to love you unconditionally, I choose you every day, and to honour our secret bond.”

Ruth’s gesture has stirred mixed reactions on social media, with some critics calling it “overly dramatic,” while others praised it as a powerful display of respect.

An X (formally Twitter) user, #Olatu125, while supporting Ruth’s gesture wrote, “Scriptural wife.”

Another social media user #Timidey4you, wrote, “Wife material.”

One #Thatmumu65, who perceived it to be extreme wrote, “Oversabi”.

A netizen identified as #Symply_beautiana wrote, “For her mind, she is the real wife material”.

Expressing non-judgement,  #Nrindioma wrote, “Maybe he knelt down as well while saying His.

#Just_Oma_, however wrote: “Feminists no go like this one oh.”
