In a warm and engaging meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, welcomed award-winning artist David Adeleke alias Davido to discuss the powerful role of music in uniting and uplifting the nation.

In a statement on social media, Abbas said, “It was a pleasure to welcome award-winning artist @davido in a warm and engaging setting today.
“We had a rich conversation about the unifying power of music and its potential to inspire and uplift our nation.
“Davido shared insights about his latest project, describing it as ‘a celebration of our culture and a voice for the new generation.”
The Speaker commended the artist for using his platform to positively influence young Nigerians and showcase Nigeria’s rich heritage globally.
Abbas underscored the importance of youth and creative industries to Nigeria’s future, stating, “Our youth and creative industries are essential to Nigeria’s future, and I remain committed to supporting the arts as a vital pillar of national development.
“This visit is a testament to the growing synergy between governance and culture as we continue to celebrate Nigerian excellence on the global stage,” Abbas added.
On Thursday, Davido paid a courtesy call to Senate President Godswill Akpabio in Abuja, Dailyeconomy reports.
He was accompanied by nightlife entrepreneur and celebrity Pascal Okechukwu, famously known as Cubana Chiefpriest.
However, these meetings highlight the increasing collaboration between government leaders and cultural icons in promoting national pride and development through the arts.
