Nigerian singer Teni delivered a hilarious and theatrical video clip on X (formerly Twitter), begging Burna Boy to lend her his iconic red Ferrari for her upcoming music video “Speed” featuring Gunna.
Set in a vibrant rural backdrop, Teni appears in a flamboyant red cowboy outfit, surrounded by dancers in colorful traditional agbadas, performing energetic choreography with talking drums and gongs.
The centerpiece: a comically oversized cardboard cutout of Burna Boy’s red Ferrari, which Teni humorously implores for throughout the 2:46-minute skit.
Her repeated chorus captures the playful desperation, “Odogwu, borrow me your Ferrari o! Odogwu, borrow me your Ferrari o!”
In a pleading verse, she adds, “Baba I beg. I wan borrow your Ferrari, no lie… See the kind dem dey do already… Baba don dey borrow with me in Aboki ni… You go see, help me collect and tanka… And I know say you go borrow this your moto because e bad!”
She humorously underscores her readiness, saying, “I have everything! Say we just need a car!”
Teni’s caption on X called on fans for support, “MAKE UNA COME HELP ME BEG ODOGWU @burnaboy FOR HIS RED FERRARI AS I NEVER FINISH SHOOTING THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR MY SONG SPEED FT @1GunnaGunna… I GOT EVERYTHING NA JUST YOUR FERRARI REMAIN.”
The clip quickly went viral, sparking laughs and debates on whether Burna Boy would actually lend out the car.
This plea follows a similar lighthearted request Teni made to Davido for his blue Lamborghini, which he responded to warmly, “I’ll arrange… Call Lati.”
True to his word, Davido lent the Lamborghini for the “Speed” video shoot, showcasing the camaraderie and playful collaborations among Nigerian music stars.
