President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday delivered a sharp rebuke to opposition coalition members, describing them as “political internally displaced persons (IDPs)” during a public address in Nasarawa State.
The visit marked the president first official visit to Nassarawa State since he assumed office in 2023.
Speaking to a large crowd, Tinubu said, “Don’t pay attention to Coalition people; they are political internally displaced persons (IDPs).”
The President’s remarks come amid growing political tensions and criticisms from opposition groups challenging his administration’s policies.
He stated further, “Just don’t pay them any attention. Don’t give them a home. The hope is here Sule is doing well.
“We will support whatever a governor Sule brings about to work harder for the prosperity of Nasarawa State, that’s how we stand for.”
