In a video from the gathering, Tinubu proclaimed, “We have the pride of 28 states. We are the largest party on the continent. We are not the ones saying so alone; it is internationally acknowledged. They know what we have achieved and they are watching us.”

The high-profile event drew Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, APC governors, and recent defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Talks centered on party unity, governance reforms, and key policies like local government autonomy and state policing.

Tinubu pressed governors to route direct funding to local councils, aligning with a Supreme Court ruling, and voiced optimism for state police legislation, adding, he had reassured international partners of the APC’s security commitments.

Leaders lauded Tinubu’s stewardship and urged ongoing unity as the party, bolstered by defections, cements its grip on Nigerian politics ahead of future polls.
