Trent Alexander-Arnold was officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player on Thursday, delivering part of his speech in fluent Spanish, which surprised many fans across the globe.

He expressed deep gratitude and excitement, calling the move “a dream come true.”
Speaking at the presentation, he said in Spanish, “Thank you Florentino Perez and the club for this opportunity. This doesn’t happen every day. It’s a dream come true. I’m very happy and proud to be here. I want to show Real Madrid fans how I play.
“I do realise I’m signing for Real Madrid, the demands are high, but I’m going to give my all to the team and Real Madrid fans. I want to win many titles, I want to be a winner here and enjoy playing alongside the best. Hala Madrid!”
He also acknowledged the big responsibility of playing for such a prestigious club and expressed readiness to give everything for the team.
Alexander-Arnold praised Liverpool for a perfect send-off and revealed that Real Madrid was the only club capable of taking him from Liverpool.
He will wear the number 12 shirt and use “Trent” on his jersey for easier recognition by Spanish speakers.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hailed Alexander-Arnold as a “legend” and praised his choice to join the club, saying, “Today is a very special day for Madridistas. We signed a legend who won everything. Today, he joins our family. Trent, you could have joined any club in the world but chose Real Madrid. We will never forget this gesture”.
Alexander-Arnold is set to make his debut at the Club World Cup in the USA next week, ready to contribute to Real Madrid’s quest for more trophies.
