United States President Donald Trump has unleashed criticism of NATO allies and some U.S. figures, accusing them of dragging their feet on support for securing the Strait of Hormuz amid the escalating U.S.-Israel conflict with Iran.

In an address, Trump highlighted what he called a lasting “mark on NATO” for failing to step up without intense pressure.

“None of these people, including our own, very disappointing, NATO, understood anything unless they have pressure placed upon them!!!” Trump stated, pointing to European reluctance to deepen involvement in the Middle East war.

He warned of dire consequences, stating, “The Middle East will be gone, and then they’re coming for Europe.”

Trump expressed deep frustration with NATO’s response, saying, “I’m very disappointed in NATO — very. I think that NATO… I think it’s a mark on NATO that’ll never disappear — never disappear, in my mind.”

He recounted upcoming meetings with allies, mocking their anticipated pledges, “You know? They come here to see me on Wednesday. Then they’re gonna say, ‘Oh, we do this, we do that.’ Now all of a sudden they want to send things.”

The president singled out the UK for particular scorn, revealing a conversation where British leaders opted to “wait till you win.”

He added, “I said, ‘We don’t need help after we win.’ They are too old — broken aircraft carriers barely work.”

Trump also dismissed offers of U.S. naval assets like the USS Abraham Lincoln, noting a top general’s reluctance, “‘Sir, we do not need it.’”

Boasting of U.S. defensive prowess, Trump claimed, “We had one day 101 missiles going at 2,700 miles an hour aimed at the Abraham Lincoln. Out of a hundred and one missiles, one hundred and one missiles were shot down.”
