Video: Trump credits TikTok for boosting youth support in election

United States President Donald Trump praised TikTok for its role in his election success, saying it helped him connect with young voters like never before.

“I like TikTok. It helped get me elected,” Trump stated in a recent remark.

He shared that an advisor named Charlie encouraged him to join the platform.

“Charlie said, sir, you want to get on TikTok? You’d be great. I said, really, tell me about TikTok,” he narrated.

Trump highlighted the impact of his presence on the app saying, “We did unbelievably well with youth, like at a level that no Republican has ever even dreamt of.”

He described his approach as straightforward, “I use TikTok very legitimately, very straight, just statements every day. Little short statements, sir, making sure please.”

Trump also mentioned TikTok CEO Jack Dorsey, nicknaming him “TikTok Jack,” saying, “He did a good job for me I guess.”
