United States President Donald Trump has spotlighted Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu during his address at the US National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, praising her as a “very respected woman” and Christian pastor leading the largest church in Nigeria.

The remarks, captured in a widely shared video clip, came amid Trump’s reflections on cultural wins and global peace efforts.
“We’re honoured to be joined today by the First Lady of Nigeria, who also happens to serve as a Christian pastor at the largest church in Nigeria—very respected woman.
“First Lady, please, where are you? Thank you very much. Great honour,” Trump said, drawing applause from the audience.
He recalled how his administration’s bomb terrorist camp in Nigeria on Christmas day notingg, “We put back the word ‘Christmas’—they didn’t want to use it, and we’re using it again. But I specifically told Pete, I said, ‘Hit him on Christmas Day, not earlier and not later, right Pete?’ And man, did he hit them.”
Trump also boasted of Middle East breakthroughs, claiming, “In October, I ended the war in Gaza, saving hundreds of thousands of lives. It’s amazing—we have peace in the Middle East, by the way. First time in three thousand years.”
He added a sombre note on hostages, “We got back the last hostage—dead hostage. We’ve got back all of the hostages now Hamas helped us get it back. Was a big, big statement.”
