Speaking on Monday after welcoming Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump revealed he had received intelligence suggesting Iran is ramping up its nuclear program.
“I heard that Iran is trying to build up their nuclear program again,” he said and then quickly followed with a forceful pledge, “If they are, we’re going to have to knock them down.”
He explicitly tied U.S. support to Iran’s ballistic missile program, saying the United States “will support strikes on Iran if they continue with their ballistic missile program.”
