As reported by Mail Online, this disturbing incident took place on Christmas Eve 2022 at Attard’s residence in Bexley, Kent.
Olagunju had been working for Unique Personnel UK for only six days when she was secretly recorded by a camera set up by the victim’s son, Chris Attard.
The footage revealed Olagunju roughly undressing the frail elderly man, threatening to hit him, and disregarding his cries of distress.
She told him, “Maybe I will beat you up. I will flog you. I will take you to the GP to get injections. I will call the police on you.”
She was also observed pouring marmalade into his coffee, fully aware of his diabetes, and pulling him by the arm and collar, which left him visibly upset.
On Christmas morning, Attard was discovered unresponsive with blood on his face. He was taken to the hospital where he remained unconscious until he passed away ten days later.
Although a post-mortem examination could not definitively establish a connection between the abuse and his death, the timing of the events raised significant concerns.
Olagunju pleaded guilty at Woolwich Crown Court to a single count of ill-treatment or willful neglect of an individual lacking mental capacity.
She received a six-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to complete 50 hours of unpaid community service.
In response to the verdict, Attard described the sentence as “an insult,” asserting that Olagunju’s actions were directly responsible for his father’s tragic death.
