Real Madrid winger, Vinícius Júnior has issued an official apology following his reaction to being substituted in the recent El-Clásico.

Addressing Madridistas in a statement on Wednesday, he said, “Today I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clásico.”

He also extended apologies directly to his teammates, the club, and the president, emphasising his passion for the game as the core reason for his behaviour.

“Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to win and help my team. My competitive character stems from the love I feel for this club and everything it represents,” said Vini.

Vinícius pledged his continued commitment to Real Madrid saying, ”I promise to keep fighting every second for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day.”

This statement came after he had apologised in person during training earlier on the same day, showing his dedication to unity within the team.

However, Vinícius Júnior didn’t mention the head coach, Xabi Alonso in his apology statement, but it was gathered that he apologised to the coach and the technical staff privately.
