Speaking after an economic briefing, Tinubu said with firm resolve, “We are engaging the world diplomatically. I assure you all that we will defeat terrorism.”

He acknowledged challenges, saying, “Despite the political headwinds and the fear of our people, we continue to engage our partners.”

He outlined the government’s vision, “The task ahead is to move forward with clarity of purpose guided by the Renewed Hope agenda to build a prosperous Nigeria.”

The President’s remarks followed a detailed update from the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, who reported significant macroeconomic achievements under Tinubu’s administration.

Key highlights included a GDP growth rate of 4.3%, the highest in a decade, expansion across 13 sectors, increased investor confidence, controlled inflation, Nigeria’s exit from the Financial Action Task Force’s Grey List, and an oversubscription of $13 billion on Nigeria’s Eurobonds.
