United States President Donald Trump has issued a warning to Iran’s regime amid massive anti-government protests, stating the U.S. stands ready to strike “very hard” if authorities resort to violence against unarmed demonstrators.

In an interview on Friday, Trump, responding to questions from Sean Hannity about the unrest, described the scale of the protests as unprecedented.

“The crowds are just—they’re massive. The enthusiasm to overturn that regime is incredible,” Trump said.

He noted that while some deaths have occurred due to stampedes in the huge gatherings, the Iranian government has largely refrained from its past tactics of mass shootings and executions—so far.

Trump emphasised U.S. preparedness, recounting his previous stance, “I said, if they do that, we’re gonna hit them very hard. We’re ready to do it. If they do that, we’re gonna hit them hard.”

He highlighted the protesters’ vulnerability, adding, “These people, totally unarmed people, and love their country, they want something to happen—if they do anything bad to these people, we are going to hit them very hard.”

The remarks come as reports indicate swelling crowds in Iran, with Trump predicting the situation could lead to regime collapse.

“Nobody has ever seen anything what happens right now,” he observed, attributing some casualties to the chaos of “stampedes” rather than direct regime action.

Trump’s comments underscore ongoing U.S. scrutiny of Iran’s internal stability, echoing his “maximum pressure” policy.
