Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi has decleared that Tehran is “not ready to end the war,” asserting Iran’s determination to dictate the conflict’s conclusion despite not initiating it.
“We are not ready to end the war,” Araghchi said firmly.
“We didn’t start it but we will decide when it will end,” he added.
The remarks come amid intensified US-Israel military strikes on Iran since early 2026, targeting banking systems, military sites, and other infrastructure.
These actions have resulted in Iranian civilian casualties and widespread destruction, with nuclear negotiations stalled and no diplomatic breakthroughs in sight.
Araghchi emphasised Tehran’s resolve, framing the response as a rightful retaliation to “recent aggressions.”
