Afrobeats superstar Wizkid showered rising star Asake with high praise, revealing the track that turned him into a fan and naming his ultimate favourite.

The Starboy, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, pinpointed Asake’s hit “Omo Ope” as the game-changer.

“So, Omo Ope definitely made me an Asake fan from just listening to that. From the first day,” Wizkid shared when asked what song hooked him.

But it was “Remember” that stole the show. “My favorite. I think you have to play one on my wedding: Remember,” he insisted, prompting an ecstatic reaction from Asake, who laughed in disbelief, “You have. Oh my God!”

Wizkid didn’t stop there, hailing Asake’s unique talent.

“You’re amazing. You have one of the most special voices from home and like just in the world in general,” he gushed.
