Ayefele made this commitment during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), led by its President, Prince Babatunde Adeleke Oguntade, at his Music House office in Ibadan.

The visit came in response to Ayefele’s recent public criticism of the insurance industry following an inferno that affected one of his radio stations. He had expressed frustration over delayed claims settlement and the need for legal action to access due compensation.

“Insurance pays, but too slowly,” Ayefele had remarked. “It often takes legal battles to get what is rightfully yours.”

However, the visit by the NCRIB delegation appeared to turn the tide. Ayefele, while still expressing his past disappointments, acknowledged recent reforms within the industry and pledged to support ongoing efforts to restore public trust.

“Now that you have reformed insurance, you need to let people know the old system has changed. That’s where I come in,” he said. “I have 10 radio stations across the country. I will instruct the General Managers of each to give you airtime. Bring people who can represent you well, let Nigerians know insurance has changed.”

Ayefele also expressed willingness to serve as an insurance ambassador.
“I don’t mind taking up the role. Now that I have seen genuine effort, I will support your campaign. Let the public know that you came to me, and you have my full support,” he assured.

Responding, NCRIB President, Prince Oguntade, commended Ayefele’s openness and took the opportunity to clarify some misconceptions about the insurance industry’s operations. To further demonstrate commitment, the President put a call through to the Commissioner for Insurance, who spoke directly with Ayefele, assuring him that his case would be thoroughly reviewed.

The conversation changed tone after the call, with Ayefele expressing satisfaction and renewed hope in the industry’s direction.
