“We’ve exceeded expectations” – Maresca reveals reason Chelsea is not in title race

Chelsea’s head coach and manager, Enzo Maresca has revealed his strategic vision for the club, aiming for a top-four finish this season and a title challenge in the following year.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Maresca expressed his satisfaction with the team’s current performance, stating they have exceeded his expectations by maintaining a position in the top four for most of the season.

He said, “The plan with the club was that next season to get top 4, and then the season after challenge for the title.

“This is why I said we’re ahead of my expectation because we spend most of the season so far in the top 4.”

Why disclosing the reason he speaks mostly about the club’s attacker, Noni Madueke, Maresca said, “Is because I consider him a top player. I always want the best and ask for the best, especially from players like Noni.”
