Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has boldly declared himself the most insulted politician in Nigeria, second only to President Bola Tinubu, during a thanksgiving service at the country home of South-South Development Commission Chairman Chibudom Nwuche on Saturday.

Wike addressed political leaders from Ahoada East Local Government Area, reaffirming his unwavering support for Tinubu despite the backlash.

“We have never wavered in our support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he stated firmly.

He added, “Let me tell you, after President Bola Tinubu, the next most abused politician is me.”

The minister attributed the insults to his commitment to political agreements.

“Why are they abusing me? Because they know agreement is what? When we have agreed on something, let’s implement it,” Wike remarked, emphasising loyalty amid criticism.

Nwuche, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, pledged continued backing from Rivers State leaders.

He and others vowed to stand by Wike, highlighting regional solidarity.

Wike also took a swipe at fair-weather supporters, noting that those now claiming allegiance to Tinubu were absent during the 2023 elections.
