Wossade Realty, a new real estate venture focused on affordable housing development and global expansion, was officially commissioned on Thursday at Onilearo, Oojo, Ibadan, by Chief Emmanuel Folorunso Ogunaike.
The commissioning ceremony celebrated family legacy, resilience, and faith, as the founders transformed their late mother’s dream into what they described as “generational wealth.”
Speaking exclusively with Daily Economy, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wossade Realty, Sefiyat Olaide, shared the heartfelt inspiration behind the company.

“What inspired me to think about Wossade Realty is that my mom, when she was young and when she was alive, always had a dream to go into building, but unfortunately she wasn’t able to,” she said.
Raised by her sister, Esther Ogunaike, and brother-in-law, Emmanuel Folorunso, Sefiyat said she developed her skills and work ethic while living with them.
She revealed that the business concept was first launched years ago in the United States before being brought to Nigeria.

Expressing gratitude and ambition, Sefiyat said, “I feel so happy that God gave me the opportunity and privilege to be here today with the products we are bringing to this society. By the special grace of God, in the next few years, I see this business expanding internationally, not restricted to Nigeria alone, but going global.”
In her remarks, Mummy Ogunaike paid tribute to their late mother, Wosilat Aremu.
“Our mother, Wosilat Aremu, great daughter of Oluokun, sacrificed everything to see us through. In the cold, she became clothless to make us warm,” she recounted.

Despite numerous challenges, Wosilat had aspired to build a physical mansion but instead built an enduring legacy in the hearts of her children.
“Today, your dream from years back is germinating into generational wealth. We are transforming your dream of building mansions, not just for us but for the world into a construction company that will cut across the globe,” she added.
Sefiyat also praised the commissioning guest, Chief Emmanuel Folorunso Ogunaike, born June 25, 1952, in Ogun State.
A livestock pioneer educated at the University of Georgia and trained in the United States in poultry and feed manufacturing, Chief Ogunaike has contributed significantly to Ibadan’s economy and Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
“Baba is beyond being addressed as my mentor; he is our builder. The fear of this man and the love for this chief is not just the beginning of wisdom, but also the foundation of generational wealth,” Sefiyat said.
She pledged that the family would uphold his values of discipline, transparency, and hard work, while envisioning real estate developments stretching from London to Canada.
Wossade Realty aims to introduce global standards, innovation, and professionalism to Nigeria’s real estate sector, beginning with its Ibadan hostel project and targeting international expansion.
