APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda has visited victims of the deadly March 29-30 Angwan Rukuba attack at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) on Saturday, condemning the violence and reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to security.

Accompanied by his wife, Dr Martina Yilwatda, he shared a message of solidarity on X, stating, “We stood with them in compassion and solidarity, sharing in their pain and reaffirming our collective responsibility to protect every Nigerian life.”

The attack by gunmen in Jos North, Plateau State, involved indiscriminate shooting that killed over 25 people and injured many others in the conflict-prone region.

Yilwatda described the incident as “painful, barbaric, and unacceptable. It is a direct assault on our shared humanity. This must not become another normal story.”

He assured victims and families of President Bola Tinubu’s resolve, saying, “I assured the victims and their families of the Federal Government’s firm resolve to protect lives and bring an end to these senseless killings.”

The chairman also commended JUTH staff, noting, “My sincere appreciation goes to the management and staff of JUTH for their swift and professional response in saving lives,” and called for urgent action: “This tragedy must awaken all of us—leaders, communities, and citizens—to act with urgency, unity, and purpose. Plateau must not bleed again.”
