After being seen on television wearing a Real Madrid jersey and crying in the aftermath of the disaster, the club was deeply moved and responded by inviting Abderrahim to Madrid.
It was gathered that Real Madrid has helped him relocate, continue his education, and enrolled him in their football academy, offering hope and a fresh start.
This week, Abderrahim received signed jerseys from every player, including a special autograph from club president Florentino Pérez, symbolizing the club’s solidarity and support.
In a touching moment, Abderrahim was honoured at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, taking the ceremonial kick-off before Real Madrid’s match against Espanyol.
