Nigerian singer-songwriter Adekunle Gold has opened up about life’s whirlwind changes, professional triumphs, and his newest role as a father of two.

In an intimate letter shared via email with our correspondent, Adekunle Gold marveled at how “one day you are praying quietly over dreams that still feel far away, and then suddenly you realize those same dreams are now your actual life.”

He highlighted recent milestones, including the release of his album Formation, which he described as “special for many reasons,” and the announcement of upcoming orchestra shows across North America—a vision he first dreamed up seven years ago in Asa’s living room before his Afro Pop album.

Gold also revealed his latest project, Fuji Xtra, tying it to a major endorsement deal.

“I’m officially an ambassador for The Macallan,” he wrote, adding that the partnership resonates deeply: “There’s something about having patience, paying attention to detail, legacy and intentionality that connects me deeply with The Macallan. Meaningful things take time to develop properly.”

Amid the public wins, Gold shared the profound personal shift at home.

“I’m now a father of two,” he revealed.

“Even typing that still feels surreal and honestly, I’ve been completely consumed with joy over my Son. Completely. I understand something new about love watching him. There’s this overwhelming tenderness that comes with being responsible for life that’s difficult to explain until you experience it yourself.”

The letter underscores Gold’s gratitude for perseverance: “I know the years nobody saw. I know how much faith this journey has required from me over and over again.”

Fans can expect more details on the Macallan partnership soon, as Gold noted he’s sharing it “first before it is out in the open.”
