Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has celebrated a major infrastructure boost after the Federal Executive Council approved rehabilitation of the Osogbo–Gbongan and Osogbo–Iwo–Ibadan roads.
In an X post, Adeleke called it “Exciting news for us in Osun State! Cross collaboration for more development,” crediting cross-party efforts with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
“Our administration has always championed collaboration that delivers real development that benefits everyone in the state, regardless of political affiliation,” Adeleke wrote.
He recalled his October 18, 2024, visit to Works Minister Dave Umahi in Abuja to push for federal aid on state roads.
Adeleke thanked Tinubu and the Council stressing, “When leaders listen, the people benefit. This is what cross collaboration for the betterment of the people looks like.”
The approval follows Osun’s construction of over 150 km of roads under Adeleke’s watch.
