Troops of Sector 1 under Operation HADIN KAI have arrested six suspects and seized a large consignment of materials believed to be destined for terrorist elements in the North East.
According to a statement released on Monday, 20 July 2026, by Captain Mohammed Goni, Acting Military Information Officer, the operation was conducted on 19 July at about 4:00 p.m. based on credible intelligence.
“Troops of Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), acting on credible intelligence, have intercepted a suspected terrorist logistics network and arrested 6 suspects during a well coordinated covert operation aimed at disrupting terrorist supply chains in the North East Theatre.”
The suspects were travelling in five vehicles along a suspected terrorist logistics route. Items recovered include:
• 202 cartons of herbicides
• One jerrycan containing suspected acid
• 1 Starlink wireless internet communication system
• 6 bags of NPK fertilizer
• 10 bags of rice
• 50 hoes
• 20 packs of knapsack sprayer pumps
The Army noted that preliminary assessment indicates the materials have potential dual-use applications capable of supporting terrorist logistics, sustainment, mobility, and communications. Some items, particularly the NPK fertilizers and suspected acid, will undergo further forensic examination.
“The seizure represents a significant disruption of suspected terrorist logistics networks and further degrades their ability to sustain operational activities.”
The six suspects and recovered items have been handed over to Military Intelligence for further investigation to identify the wider network and other collaborators.
The statement added that sustained disruption of terrorist supply chains has forced many terrorists to abandon hostages, families, and enclaves.
“Preliminary debriefings of rescued hostages and surrendered terrorist families indicate that the sustained disruption of terrorist logistics and supply chains by Operation HADIN KAI has significantly degraded the operational capability of terrorist groups,” the statement added.
Operation HADIN KAI reaffirmed its commitment to targeting terrorists, financiers, logistics suppliers, and collaborators.
The public was urged to continue providing timely intelligence to security agencies.
