The Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance human capacity development and aviation service delivery.

The MoU aims to align training programs with international standards to promote safety, efficiency, and effective management of civil and military air operations.

“The Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening collaboration in human capacity development to ensure excellence in aviation service delivery. The agreement, signed on Friday, 29 August 2025 at the ATSTC Headquarters in Kaduna, is designed to align training with international best practices that promote safety, efficiency, and the effective management of both civil and military air operations across Nigeria’s airspace and beyond.

“The landmark partnership reflects the vision of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, which prioritises capacity building, innovation, and strategic partnerships as key enablers of airpower,” NAF wrote in a statement shared on Instagram on Saturday.

This collaboration supports the Chief of Air Staff’s vision to leverage capacity building and innovation as key drivers of airpower.

The partnership includes specialized training in airline, airport, airspace, and meteorology operations, as well as personnel exchanges, strengthening civil–military aviation synergies in Nigeria.

Both institutions have committed to this strategic alliance to meet the growing demand for skilled aviation professionals and ensure sustained excellence across Nigeria’s airspace.
