Bellingham, Mbappé fire Real Madrid to 4-0 win over Málaga

Real Madrid continued their flawless start to the 2026/27 La Liga season with a commanding 4-0 victory over promoted Málaga at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday.

Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé and substitute Arda Güler were on target, while Málaga goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero was credited with an own goal, as José Mourinho’s side made it three wins from three league matches.

Madrid took control of the Matchday 3 encounter after 19 minutes when Bellingham produced a superb individual effort, beating several defenders before finishing calmly to open the scoring.

The England midfielder was again involved seven minutes later as Madrid doubled their advantage.

After Herrero had saved an effort from Mbappé and Bellingham followed up with a header, the ball rebounded into the net off the Málaga goalkeeper for an own goal.

Mbappé made it 3-0 in the 30th minute, volleying home from a precise Trent Alexander-Arnold cross.

It was the French forward’s fourth league goal of the campaign.

Güler caps dominant display
Madrid remained in control after the break, limiting Málaga’s chances and continuing to threaten through Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior and Bellingham, who later struck the woodwork.

Málaga briefly appealed for a penalty over a possible Antonio Rüdiger handball, but the decision was overturned following a VAR review.

Arda Güler completed the rout in stoppage time, finishing a quick move involving Vinícius after coming on as a late substitute.

It was the Turkish midfielder’s first goal of the season.

The result leaves Real Madrid top of the La Liga table with nine points from three matches, having scored 10 goals and conceded only two.
Bellingham was influential throughout, scoring the opener and playing a major role in the second goal, while Alexander-Arnold registered his first notable attacking contribution of the campaign with the assist for Mbappé’s volley.

For Málaga, the defeat leaves the newly promoted side with one point from their opening three games and near the bottom of the table.
