Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface has opened up about his grueling battle with injury on X, sharing raw emotions after undergoing knee surgery that rules him out for the rest of the season with Werder Bremen.
The 25-year-old forward, who has not been active for nearly a year, posted a poignant reflection, “Been putting fake smile for almost a year. But God know why all this is happening Grateful to God.”
In a follow-up, he shared lyrics in Yoruba, blending faith and resilience, “Eyin toh laye e duro timi K’ala numi ko wamiri Ofa aye maje kobami So I dey pray almighty.”
Werder Bremen confirmed earlier that Boniface would miss the remainder of the campaign due to the procedure.
The player alluded to it with a post-surgery photo captioned, “Bbl done and dusted Omo if he reach ur turn make depression wound you.”
