BRT involved in lone accident in Lagos

A Bus Rapid Transit vehicle was involved in a lone accident on Tuesday, October 8, at Bolade, Oshodi axis of Lagos State after colliding with the median dividing the service lane from the main carriageway.

The incident occurred during routine operations, causing a brief disruption in traffic flow in the area, Dailyeconomy confirmed in a video shared on the social media handle of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.  

A tow truck has been dispatched to remove the vehicle, and officers are currently on-site managing the situation.

The video captioned, “A lone accident involving a BRT bus has occurred at Boladale, Oshodi. The said vehicle rammed into the median dividing the service lane and the main carriageway.

“Though traffic is not significantly impeded at this hour, the tow truck operator has now been contacted for evacuation purposes.

“Our officers are present around the situation to ensure ease of accessibility.”
