The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has condemned of disruptive actions by players and officials during last night’s heated TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Final between Morocco and Senegal at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
In an official statement, CAF described the incidents as crossing a critical line.
“CAF condemns the unacceptable behaviour of some players and officials during the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Final between Morocco and Senegal in Rabat last night,” the statement partly read.
Tensions reportedly boiled over in the closing stages of the match, with altercations targeting the refereeing team and match organisers.
CAF emphasised zero tolerance for such conduct, “CAF strongly condemns any inappropriate behaviour which occurs during matches, especially those targeting the refereeing team or match organizers.”
The governing body is now conducting a thorough investigation.
“CAF is reviewing all footage and will refer the matter to competent bodies for appropriate action to be taken against those found guilty,” the statement concluded
