Chelsea FC has sparked social-media banter on Saturday after posting a promotion for Stamford Bridge immediately following Arsenal’s 2026 Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
“Come and visit London’s Home of Trophies. 🏆 Book your Stadium Tour at Stamford Bridge now,” the club wrote, using the tagline to promote stadium tours while leaning into local rivalry.
The timing turned a routine marketing post into pointed rivalry commentary, arriving shortly after Arsenal fell to PSG in a penalty shootout in Budapest.
Supporters on both sides reacted quickly: Chelsea fans amplified the post with memes and gloating messages emphasising Chelsea’s two Champions League titles, while Arsenal followers replied with jokes, recriminations and calls for perspective.
The tweet became one of the most shared London-club posts of the evening, underlining how swiftly sporting outcomes can be repurposed as social-media fodder.
