Contributory Pension assets rose to  N22.86tn in January

The total assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme rose from N22.51tn as of the end of December 2024 to N22.86tn in January.

Figures obtained on Saturday by Dailyeconomy from the National Pension Commission (PenCom) on ‘Unaudited report on pension funds industry portfolio for the period ended 31 January 2025- Approved Existing Schemes, Closed Pension Fund Administrators and RSA funds (including unremitted contributions @CBN & legacy funds), revealed.

According to the figures, the bulk of the assets totalling N14.4tn was invested in Federal Government securities.

Other portfolio where the pension operators invested the assets are in money market instruments, and mutual funds.
